Interviewing other composers for Bergmann Edition

I'm fortunate to have my sheet music published by Bergmann Edition ("BE").  I really like the BE ethos, which is all about working with and for the world's guitar community and getting good quality new music of all styles out there.

I've listened a lot to the work of other composers published by BE - I was struck by the massive variety, and frequently awed by (and envious of) the talent.  The BE website has potted biographies of each of the composers and you will be amazed at their musical backgrounds, histories and achievements.  Take a look.

I took on a task of interviewing some of the other composers, and the interviews have been uploaded to the BE website here

These interviews have been fascinating to do, and I've really enjoyed meeting the composers.  It is interesting to see both the contrasts and the similarities.   There are some things we all say!  I hope they make interesting reading, not just for composers but for players and anyone who enjoys listening to music.  I will keep on doing this for some time: another one will be published soon.

In the meantime, I had the tables turned on me and was interviewed recently by the wonderful Valerie Hartzell  - that was some experience.  I was convinced I had nothing to say and would let the music speak for me.  Turns out the music couldn't get a word in edgeways.  Apparently, once I've started on the subject I can talk on and on.....and on and on and on....  I haven't yet seen the finished article yet but I think it will be the approximate length of the Bible + Moby-Dick.
